I always enjoy how organized mamas like Samantha share what they are using, I've discovered some great curriculum ideas this way.

At Simple Homeschool we had ourselves a little virtual Curriculum Fair in the Spring. Did you get a chance to visit? In case you missed out, here is a list of all that was covered:

In our homeschool, math has never been a favorite subject.  But it’s an essential subject at all grade levels, and for the most part I took the view that if a particular textbook worked for one kid, we would make it work for all the others too.  I rarely shied...

Homeschool Review and Crafting Too!: Enliven Your Bible Time!

So, how is "Bible Time" going in your homeschool?

In our homeschool we have certain times when try to work in Hymn Study, Bible reading and Bible memory.  Right now we are focusing a larger amount of that time on Bible memory, because JD is active in our church's Awana program. Sometimes we spend more time on daily readings. Sometimes we get excited about hymns, and do a lot of songs.

Does your Bible reading time ever get ...dull? Or do your kids find it dull?

Christopherus Homeschool Curriculum Review

Structured guidance. Academics with practical skills. Christopherus homeschool curriculum offers a complete and customizable Waldorf-type education. My family has been very pleased with the Christopherus homeschool curriculum. We've used the preschool/kindergarten guides for three years and are now halfway through the first grade curriculum with my eldest child. I've liked all the materials thus far and am planning to use the second grade program next year. I like the curriculum because it's...

Affordable Homeschooling

Homeschooling doesn't have to be expensive. Affordable homeschooling isn't very difficult if you know where to look. I have included many of the inexpensive homeschooling ideas that we have found useful and effective. When we first started homeschooling, my son was bored and was rapidly losing all his enthusiasm for learning before we pulled him out of Kindergarten.
