Accidentally Homeschooling...: Marshall Publishing: George ...

Marshall publishing carries a series of educational Dvd's for homeschoolers. We had a chance to enjoy George Washington Carver, His Life and His Work. While this was geared to older students, I do think all ages would be inspired by this movie.

When Random and I began watching, he commented on how 'old fasioned' it seemed. Little Guy was glued to it. This movie is not flashy, but 30 minutes of incredible information. It begins with beautiful nature scenes and quotes from George W. Carver. The...

Homeschool Mom Discovers a NEW Law of Science

By Vicki on 22 October 2011 / Humor, News, Science, The Home / 0 Comment

I am someday going to win some kind of prize for this.

In Science there are several systems of laws that tell how the universe works.

I had to memorize these back in college, when I was a biology major (there were still dinosaurs then):

0th Law: "If two thermodynamic systems are in thermal equilibrium with a...

Rod and Staff Homeschool English Curriculum

By Michaela

Read what other homeschoolers say about Rod and Staff Curriculum.

I found Preparing to Build book great, as it teaches the concept of a sentence as the expression of a complete thought.

Other workbooks/curriculums that my child has used in the past jump around and don't teach a solid foundation like this book does.
