Ged Math Study

The illusion of teaching approaches. The ideas and concepts can be applied to any subject of course and if understood correctly, can dramatically increase the ged math study and benefits of teaching kids seventh grade curriculum. Influenced by these misconceptions, it is mostly a mental block and self-fulfilling prophecy perpetuated by those who care for numbers. Homeschooling Laws in Vermont and California: How They Are ...

I mentioned last week that homeschoolers in Vermont have been wrestling with the State Department of Education’s new interpretation of the recently revised Home Study statute.

I have been trying to think of a way to make this a story that is relevant to someone other than the small sub-set of Vermont homeschoolers who insist on keeping after the Dept. of Ed. to stick to the letter of the law.

There are not many of us, I’m afraid.

In fact, most HSers in Vermont are of the just do what they...

Homeschool Australia: Parents face jail for truant kids under new ...

It was my understanding that education - not school attendance - is compulsory for primary school aged children in NSW. Homeschooling is a legitimate and legal alternative that addresses the educational needs of children. How will the new laws affect existing home educating families, especially those not registered with the Board of Studies? There is a trend across Australia for tightening of regulation of home education. Let's hope it is done in an enlightened way, where the needs of home...

Modern Day Ozzie and Harriet: Calvert 4th Grade Review

This is my second time through Calvert School's 4th grade homeschool curriculum, and I loved it must as much the second time around. I've been homeschooling this child since Kindergarten, always using Calvert's curriculum, and been nothing but pleased with it. My son is highly intelligent, and has always been considered "too young" for the grade that he's in by the school district. This is why I started teaching him in the first place: his birthday being only 5 days after mine, I knew he could...

My homeschooling journey is currently at a very challenging place!  Four boys between the ages 2 and 6 years old - a challenge in itself; a child in primary school - who needs a lot of attention; two children in middle school - who hunger for knowledge; and a young man, who I desperately want to get through school, while he is exploring the world and experiencing the favour of the Lord on His life.

Many days, I have no idea what I’m supposed to do, but one thing I know, this is exactly what...

Mountaineer Country: Homeschool Mother's Journal for 12/3

Product Reviews, Homeschool Life, and Two-Lane Livin'

In my life this week… This week was a little different than a “normal” week because Jim was in Atlanta for school.  Morgan and I enjoyed a very relaxed week with our own schedules.  We spent a lot of quality time reacquainting ourselves with each other.  We had many heart-to-heart talks.  It was really nice.  Jim’s time was a little more stressful and hectic and filled with classes and tests.  He ended up passing his class and...
