IEW Writing Program and Wordsmith Curriculum mini-review (Jr/Sr high Homeschool)

We are going to stave off the IEW for now, to test out the Wordsmith and Wordsmith Craftsman texts for writing. We do have the IEW B level but I found my son losing interest and not wanting to do the assignments. It was the same for his sister too. We just shelved it for another time. We are doing that again. Sharing the Simply Charlotte Mason artist portfolio on Giotto (they have several artists)....this is a great way to cover picture study via the Charlotte Mason way.

I have been using picture study for years and it truly works and is a fun activity (just don't over complicate it)....

History Ideas for Your Homeschool: Crafts/Games/Activities books

I have used several of these books, over the years, to add a few hands-on activities-such as arts/crafts, recipes and games to our history programs. I usually will just select one of two to jazz up our studies. The "...for Kids" series is one of my favorites. Check your library for them-as they should have a wide variety available. HTH
