Over the years, we've found boxed curriculum to be useful, but sometimes it does get in the way. Do what works for your family and personality. My general quirkiness leads to a bit of this and that as I dabble in it all! Lol. So, yes I use boxed curriculum at times. And much of the time I freestyle and find my way through our lessons my own way. I find what works for my kids and tweak curriculum pretty heavily.
