Texas school district wants $70 million for new football stadium
A school district outside Houston, Tex. is trying to win approval from taxpayers to spend $70 million on a new football stadium for its high school. The Katy Independent School District is asking voters to approve a $99 million bond that would build the football complex, as well as a new agricultural center and a new science, technology, engineering and math center. The bond is an all-or-nothing deal, so the community cannot get the agricultural or STEM centers without the football complex....
