Teacher Parent Home Visits in Duluth MN.
In Duluth, MN. teachers visited a student and her family as part of the Parent Teacher Home Visit Initiative, pioneered by the St. Paul Federation of Teachers. The program helps build trust between teachers and families, and to break down some of the biases that may exist between them. The home visit is a voluntary meeting between two equal partners with common goals, in a setting away from the school building. This was one of the teachers first visits.
