Martin Luther King III Speaks at YouthBuild Philly's 2013 Commencement
On August 23, 2013 127 former high school dropouts received their high school diploma in front of friends and family. Since 1992, more than 2,000 young people have graduated from our program. This year we were proud to welcome Martin Luther King III to our graduation ceremony and have him deliver the keynote address, on the eve of his 2013 March on Washington commemorating the 1963 March on Washington and his father's landmark "I Have a Dream" speech.
