Oscar Movie Added To Curriculum

(CNN) Oscar-nominated film 12 Years A Slave will be added to high school curriculums nationwide. Montel Williams has coordinated an initiative with the National School Boards Association to distribute the film and book to public high schools in September. This is not the first time Williams has championed a film for education. He also had the 1989 civil war film 'Glory' distributed to public high schools.
