The Long Beach Public Library’s Free Career Online High School is for adults who live in Long Beach, have a library card and are aged 19 or older.

After a one-time in-person interview, online self-assessment and a prerequisite course, students are paired with an academic coach to guide them through the 18 month program.

Chelesa Fearce, a senior at Charles Drew High School, said she was homeless for most of her high school career, even living in her motherÃ¢Â€Â™s car at times.
