Homeschooling Vlog: Organizing, Curriculum, and Overcoming Frustrations
Hi guys! Here is how we are organizing our school supplies and books while living at our parent's house. At the moment we are finishing up with our Abeka K5 Curriculum (we were behind a little from different times of being so sick last year, probably because of the black mold in our home!), but soon plan to start on some Bob Jones first grade and Saxon Math for first grade. We decided to put both of our oldest girls through the same grade for now. So far it's working out great!

2016-2017 Curriculum | Bookshark | First time homeschooling mom
Here is our curriculum for my son. It's a mix of Kindergarten and 1st grade work. Everything came from Bookshark and we love it! We officially start school here in a few days. My son is so excited to start our homeschooling year.

Homeschool review of Rod & Staff's 1st grade reading curriculum.
I've used Rod & Staff since 1992 when I first began homeschooling. I have always loved using R&S's early elementary reading and math curriculum. I didn't use R & S exclusively but for 1st grade I always turned to R & S for reading and math. I am now using it for my 5 and 6 year old grandsons.

Switched-on Schoolhouse Fun
Today our homeschooled 8 year old son started his first day of 4th grade. This year he is doing Alpha Omega's Christian curriculum for the first time and absolutely loves it! Here he is doing one of the many games that helps him remember the lessons.

We're using Acellus (in which he mostly works independently) for Math and English. Easy Peasy (for discussion courses with me) for the remainder of the curriculum, and KidsSpell for weekly Vocabulary. We have also added our own Novel Studies and Dart Geography.
