Homeschool Law vs. Early Graduation - The Well-Trained Mind ...

My oldest son is expected to graduate at 15 with more advanced credits than public schools offer, after which, he plans to work on his bachelors from home. We live about 5 minutes from campus, so if necessary, I can take him to labs or something. The goal is to let him go off to college for his masters. State law says he has to be enrolled in homeschool until 18, but can be exempted at 17 with an equivalent certificate of completion. How do we get around that? (I haven't checked with schools...

I am moving to Arkansas from Louisiana in the next few weeks. We have lived in Louisiana since we started homeschooling, and the homeschool laws here are very lax. We get to choose if we want to choose the private school method (we just file a letter of intent to teach 180 days- no standardized testing of any kind required), or private school method (we have to report what curriculum we are using and either have a standardized test once a year or have a carified teacher sign off that we are...
