Yearbooks - Minnesota Homeschoolers Alliance

When we pulled our daughter out of school to begin homeschooling, we knew there would be a few things she would  miss. The school yearbook, with its reminders of memories, was near the top of that list. While I had fond memories of my own yearbooks, I saw them differently when I became a mom who would have to make them. They suddenly became a formalized scrapbook, and I never liked scrapbooking. Spring means…. - Minnesota Homeschoolers Alliance

For my family a “must” has always been the MN Orchestra.

This year the MN Orchestra is celebrating it’s 100th year anniversary and each Minnesota Orchestra Young People’s Concert focuses on a specific musical element, composer, time period or theme. Beyond just the opportunity to view a superb performance by a professional orchestra, the MN Orchestra provides workshops for homeschool families and a link for a complete curriculum guide for the corresponding performance.

-The workshops...

Is joining a homeschool organization “worth it?” « Minnesota ...

MHA has hosted a flurry of activities over the past few months for homeschoolers in Minnesota — workshops, Information Stations, and, our newest offering, Coffee Chats.  As a representative for MHA, one question I have heard more and more frequently from non-member participants is: why should I join MHA?
